Carpentry, Joinery and Timber Frame Buildings
Josh Gosling picked up his first tool when he was just one-year-old, and has always been interested in creating and building. His inclination for design and a keen eye for detail has lead Josh through an interesting career to date. Beginning his career in composites, a kayak designer for 10 years with over 30 designs to his name; which are still being sold across the globe. A short spell in Marketing and then on to become a City & Guilds qualified carpenter where his real passion began.
Josh’s desire to work with wood can be seen in his substantial portfolio of completed projects and positive client reviews. His skills cover a wide range of jobs from repairing sash windows and door frames, to creating beautiful shutters and stair cases, right up to full timber frame building projects. Continually widening his knowledge base Josh has developed his skills to work with a range of materials including metal, composites, plastics and of course wood.
Another example of Josh’s talent in practice can be found at Gosling & Gosling where he makes beautiful homeware products from oak and steel, including chopping boards and cookbook stands.
Always keen to throw himself into any project, Josh loves the challenge of bespoke designs; turning people’s dreams into real creations. Josh Gosling Carpentry perfectly is placed in the Tamar Valley on the border of Devon near Callington, Tavistock and Launceston.
